At Aspiria we know how difficult the adjustment to post secondary education can be for many students, whether it is the first time away from home, developing a budget, experiencing feelings of anxiety or depression, dealing with finances, or managing assignment and exam pressure. This is why we are proud to provide our robust Student Assistance Program services specifically for students. Our counsellors are trained professionals who can assist and support students through confidential services.
In addition to face to face counselling, our mobile app. called ISAP, and our e/Video Session, will enrich the counselling experience for those students who prefer the use of technology.
Counselling records are strictly confidential and can only be shared with appropriate individuals with signed consent of the student.
Critical Incident Response Services – We all know too well that when discrimination, bullying, school violence, and sexual assault, to name a few, hit an educational institution, it can have a devastating impact on its students, faculty, and, the community.
While this disturbing trend is on the rise, you can count on our 24/7 emergency services to provide your institution with expert consultation, a timely response, professional on-site intervention, and thorough follow up. Our network of counsellors is trained in Critical Incident Debriefing (Mitchell Model), Community Crisis Response (NOVA Model) and General Trauma Interventions (Aspiria Model). Based on our extensive trauma experience, we will assist your school to develop an emergency response protocol and plan so that it can be as prepared as possible in the event of an organizational traumatic event.
